Babies

Babies change so quickly — and those early months, before they're even aware of a camera, produce some of the most naturally beautiful portraits we create. PHOTOGENIC has been photographing newborns, babies and toddlers in our Dalkey studio since 1991, and it remains one of the things we're best known for.

We photograph babies at every stage of their first year: the calm, sleepy newborn stage (birth to around 4 months), the bright-eyed, bouncy baby stage (4–8 months), and those first wobbly attempts at standing and walking (8–12 months). Each stage has its own character, and many parents choose to document more than one.

Our studio is warm, calm and unhurried. We understand a baby's schedule is unpredictable, and we work at their pace — not ours. There's no rush, no pressure, and no quota of poses to get through. If a feed is needed, we stop.

Located in Dalkey, Co Dublin, we welcome families from across Dublin, Wicklow, Kildare and surrounding areas.
