Since 1991, PHOTOGENIC has been creating portraits families treasure for generations. In 1999 we moved into our purpose-built studio in Dalkey — we found the space while the building was still under construction, which let us design the fit-out around exactly how a portrait session should work.
We're located opposite the DART in Dalkey, with ample on-street parking, so getting to your session is easy whether you're coming from the village or further afield.
The studio is entirely on the ground floor and fully wheelchair and buggy accessible. A bright, spacious gallery and reception area leads through to the camera room, where the photography itself takes place. It's designed to feel relaxed for large family groups and grandparents alike, while still being warm and welcoming for the smallest babies — and the four-legged members of the family too.
The studio gallery area has several comfortable couches and the camera room has a chaise longue, a welcome place for feeding babies during sessions - sometimes a full tummy helps when you want a baby to smile!
Our restroom also has a baby changing facility.
Your portraits are chosen in a well appointed viewing room which has samples of portraits on the wall to inspire your own size & framing choices - we have a wide range of sizes & styles for you to see.
The rest of the studio is devoted to our production area - and you can see us preparing portraits for framing, for mounting or for collection during your visit.
