Babies change so quickly — and those early months, before they're even aware of a
camera, produce some of the most naturally beautiful portraits we create.
PHOTOGENIC has been photographing newborns, babies and toddlers in our Dalkey studio since 1991, and it remains one of the things we are best known for.

We photograph babies at every stage of their first year: from the calm, sleepy
newborn stage (birth to around 4 months), through the bright-eyed, bouncy baby
stage (4–8 months), to those first wobbly attempts at standing and walking
(8–12 months). Each stage has its own character, and many parents choose to
document more than one.

Our studio is warm, calm and unhurried. We understand that a baby's schedule is
unpredictable, and we work at their pace — not ours. There's no rush, no
pressure, and no quota of poses to get through. If a feed is needed, we stop.
If sleep happens, we work with it.

Any Wednesday to Friday, you can book a session to capture any stage of your baby’s first year. You can choose to capture your baby's infancy from birth to 4 months, or the bouncing baby 4 to 8 months stage, or their first moves crawling or walking from 8 to 12 months.

You decide which stage or stages you’d like to capture and book a session with us. The €215 fee includes a studio session, a Gift Portrait, €100 credit towards a Custom Wall Portrait plus a €20 donation to The NMH Foundation.
